Why a premium account is useful for researchers

Invitations only

As m-path is a freely downloadable app. In theory, everybody can use it and add you as a practitioner. However, as a researcher, you only want to collect systematic data from the participants you signed up for your study. A useful feature of m-Path for research settings is that participants can be invited to participate in a study by sending them an invitation code. Request this feature so it will be available in your settings. The option invitations only allows you to restrict your account to only invited participants. The participants you recruited for your study are added to your account with an invitation code and you won’t have external people signing up to your account. This option allows you to generate a unique code for each participant that is enrolled in your study. Each participant will be given a personal code which anonymizes their participation. This is equivalent to generating an anonymous participant ID.

Intakes

The intake feature is an option to obtain the informed consent from participants before the study starts and/or provides a way to assess time-invariant measures and demographic data at the beginning of the study. With a premium account, the start of the participant schedule can be made conditional on the consent at the intake.

Templates

Templates are a necessary feature for researchers that plan to run a study with a large number of participants. This is the basic tool to design and implement your study procedure for several people at the same time.
