How can participants stop data collection or remove their data?

Stop data collection

If you want to stop your participation in the study (without deleting the collected data), you can just delete the app. This way, you will not receive further notifications but your data will stay available for the researcher.

Remove data

There are two ways to remove your data.

Deleting the app will not delete your data!
If you’ve already deleted the app, recover it with your recovery code and follow the steps in this article.

Block a practitioner/researcher

You can remove your data by blocking the practitioner/researcher that collected them. To block a practitioner/researcher, follow these steps:

Go to the app settings
Go to My practitioners
Tap on Block

When you’ve blocked a practitioner, the practitioner’s/researcher’s box will turn grey and the Blocked icon will turn blue.

Delete online data

You can delete your online data via the app settings. If you delete your online data, your data will be deleted, you will be disconnected from all your practitioners/researchers and your app account will be deleted. To delete your online data, follow these steps:

Go to the app settings
Tap on Delete online data
Tap on Yes
Tap on Yes
Tap on Delete
Reinstall the app

Delete the app and reinstall it from the App or Play Store.
