Conditional questions are those that are not automatically asked: they are only triggered depending on your previous answers.
Question Types
You can create a conditional question after a multiple choice question, a slider question, a smiley question or a Yes/No question. It is also possible to use a conditional question with more advanced logic using computation questions.
Create Conditional Question
A question that is conditional on another question can be created by clicking on the upside down arrow as shown in following figure.

Overview Conditional Questions
Indentation
The way conditional questions are displayed makes it very easy to keep an overview. For every independent question, the conditional questions indent to the right of the arrow.

In this figure, the independent questions with their conditional questions are:
- Where are you at this moment?
- [if answer = on the go] How are you transporting yourself?
- [if answer = bus] How long do you stay on the bus?
- [if answer = at home] Which activity are you doing?
- [if answer = on the go] How are you transporting yourself?
- How stressed do you feel at this moment?
- [if answer lays in between (70,100)] What did you do to cope with this stress?
Hide Conditional Questions
By clicking on , you can hide the conditional questions for each independent question to keep an overview of your questionnaire.
The video below illustrates how the conditional questions from the previous example are hidden.
After Computation Question
It is also possible to use conditional logic after a computation question. Using computation questions it is possible to create advanced logic (e.g. only ask a question if the maximum of all previous answers exceeds 70). This is explained in the computation item article.
